On January 21, 2023, Manawatu hosted an international cycling event aimed at attracting elite cyclists from around the world to compete for UCI points and prize money.
The international event is geared to showcase cycling in the region and create awareness of the events, having something for everyone and promote cycling that is both fun and competitive, being more than just a means of transport but not always a race, and certainly an investment in health.
