On January 25, 2020, Manawatu will host two international cycling events aimed at attracting elite cyclists from around the world to compete for UCI points and prize money.

A cycling campaign will surround the two international events with the aim of having something for everyone - from cycling fanatics to the people that just want to head out for a family ride with the kids on the weekend. It will promote cycling that is both fun and competitive, is more than just a means of transport but not always a race, and certainly an investment in health.

Several community events and initiatives will accompany the two international events to showcase cycling in the region, create awareness of the events and allow the community to take part.
